Pamela Doherty has 20+ years in the philanthropic arena generating support for key community initiatives. She established her consulting practice in 2009. Today she utilizes her business acumen, persuasive communication, analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset to help clients meet objectives and move their missions forward.
As a former nonprofit CEO, Pamela Doherty brings a wealth of experience in non-profit leadership and management, communications and public relations to the advancement of philanthropy and community partnerships.
Prior to starting her business, Pamela was Chief Executive Officer for Carondelet Foundation, a division of Carondelet Health Network, one of Tucson, Arizona’s top ten employers. She previously served as the founding Executive Director for the Center for Planned Giving at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. In this role she provided training and counsel on gift planning, board and staff development, and fundraising to more than 100 non-profit organizations. She also worked with individuals, businesses and families and their professional advisors to craft effective strategies for charitable giving.
Pamela started her career working in the field of advertising and public relations.
She is a contributing business journalist for BizTucson, a regional business magazine.
Pamela currently serves on the boards of the YWCA Tucson and Arizona Public Media and is a member of Women at the Top.
Degrees and Certification
Pamela has been a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) since 1998, a designation that is conferred by an international accrediting body to professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice. She holds a BA in Speech Communication from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Masters Public Health (MPH) from the University of Arizona, with a concentration in administration and policy.
